Riesgo ambiental asociado al aumento de la carga animal en pasturas cultivadas en suelos del oeste bonaerense

Resumen

Se evaluó el incremento en la cantidad de formas lixiviables de nitrógeno (nitratos) frente al incremento de la carga animal, en pasturas cultivadas de la Pampa interior. Se trabajó con dos suelos de diferente contenido de arcilla: Hapludol Típico y Hapludol Éntico. Los suelos más arenosos, Hapludoles Énticos, presentaron mayor susceptibilidad para incrementar la concentración de nitratos potencialmente lixiviables frente a incrementos de la carga animal. Como las mayores concentraciones de nitratos coinciden con el período de mayores precipitaciones regionales, se sugiere que existiría un riesgo potencial de contaminación de la capa freática asociado al manejo de hacienda en estos suelos.
