Abstract
Desde hace muchos años, uno de los indicadores más ampliamente reconocidos nacional e internacionalmente para estimar la calidad de una revista es el factor de impacto del Institute for Scientific Information (Thomson- ISI). Este índice se calcula a partir del registro de citas (Science Citation Index) en las revistas científicas (Journal Citation Reports) tomadas por el ISI. Se utiliza para comparar revistas científicas, y evaluar instituciones e investigadores, ya que se lo toma como indicador de la calidad de las revistas donde se publica la producción científica...
