Call for submissions: Special issue on machine learning in environmental sciences

Ecología Austral will publish a special issue on Machine Learning in Environmental Sciences. It will include between 6 and 8 papers, presented or following a similar logic to that proposed in the homonymous symposium held during the Trinational Ecology Meeting.

This special issue will be titled Machine Learning and Environmental Sciences: Applications, Opportunities, and Challenges in Latin America. It will seek to publish advances on the application of these tools to solve environmental problems.

Papers should discuss the state of the art in the use, development, challenges, and application of machine learning techniques in environmental sciences, with a focus on Latin America. Articles are expected to present original results applied to different ecosystems and environmental issues. Likewise, a limited number of thematic reviews highlighting the importance of their scope will be accepted.

In all cases, manuscripts intended for consideration in this special issue must be submitted in advance to jpineiro@fagro.edu.uy.
